OPPRESSION AGAINST STUDENTS BY FASCIST STUDIERENDENWERK MÜNSTER?

On September 07, 2022, Studierendenwerk Münster abused their power by closing the common room and kitchen on the floor of the student dormitory in Wilhelmskamp! Almost 15 students living on that floor can’t get access to the kitchen, and even can’t get access to their food since yesterday. The reason Studierendenwerk gave to students is about hygiene factors that the common room and kitchen were not clean. On the other side, students found that was a wrong allegation. Students counter complained to the Studierendenwerk that their cleaning staff irregularly clean the common spaces which forced them to stay in dorms with the bad living condition. Not only that, many international students on that floor have been facing racism and being mistreated by some of the staff of the Studierendenwerk, even though students got threatened via email several times. Finally, Studierendenwerk closed the kitchen to make students suffer without any proper logical ground.

Undoubtedly, this is an act of civil rights violation. The victim students anonymously shared their experience with ‘a student liberation kamp’ that how students get oppressed by the authoritarian attitude of Studierendenwerk Münster. This is a huge concern of justice when self proclaimed service organizations for students abuse their power against students of higher studies. We, a student liberation kamp found it an authoritarian act that requires effective justice.
